Enrollment for Fall 2026 opens on March 1st!
A Thoughtful Start for Curious Young Learners
Longmont Little School is excited to offer Universal Pre-K for the 2026–2027 school year here on the Colorado Front Range!
Our microschool environment provides a nurturing, hands-on learning experience designed to support the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.

With small class sizes and an intentional curriculum, children are known, supported, and encouraged to grow at their own pace.
What We're Doing
Literacy & Storytelling
Children build strong foundations in reading and writing through storytelling, phonemic awareness, rich language experiences, and a love of books.
Visual Arts
Kate Otte of The Artist's Tree brings her expertise immersing students in the world of art as they journey through different artists and styles each week. Students create a masterpiece inspired by the featured artist and style, and take home a piece of their own artistic expression each week.
Marine Science & Swim
Students will participate in Ocean First's swim program. They will take a 45 minute lesson taught by their instructors following their philosophy. Their teacher student ratio is 1-4 and the kids will be divided into classes based on their abilities. They will also participate in a Marine Science/STEM class, also taught by Ocean First staff, using their own curriculum. The session will be divided again by age/grade level so that the content is accessible for the whole group. Your state funding will cover the cost of the program but you are also welcome to self pay as well. The cost is $75 per session. This class is only open to students enrolled in our program this fall but hopefully can reach the broader homeschool community in the spring.
Early Math Skills
Math concepts come to life through hands-on activities, problem-solving, games, and everyday exploration.
Cooking
Cooking projects help children develop independence, fine motor skills, early math concepts, and confidence—while learning about nutrition and collaboration.
Equine Science
This program is offered in Fort Lupton, Colorado. In the program we cover horsemanship, grooming, anatomy, and care of the horse, in addition to topics in pasture management, veterinary care, feeding, and more. Each student also receives 1-to-1 horseback riding instruction each week. We have two wonderful horses in the program, Blue and Ember who love to help us teach and playful pony, Popcorn for the littles!
Spanish
Spanish language is built in around Calendar Math. Practicing greetings, days of the week, months of the year, time, seasons, and colors promote conversational language skills. It is important to understand that early language development comes through the natural means of communication. Grammatical understanding develops later. as well as direct instruction to give children a great start in second language acquisition.
Music
Lacey Wheeler of Harmony Tree Music studio will teach a dynamic class of her own creation. She introduces a new composer and instrument each week! Children love her lively songs and the creative movement infused into each class.
Wild Child Edventure
Wild Child HOWL (Hands On Wilderness Learning) is an integrative, STEAM based, wilderness enrichment program taught by experienced outdoor education guides. Students explore the outdoors while learning foundational concepts of science in a natural setting. When temps reach below 32 degrees, the program moves indoors.
